As a young man, photographer Christian Hopkins suffered through very serious depression. While trying to cope with his feelings, the photographer took a series of photographs that captured his vision of the 5 Stages of Grief. The photographs first gained popularity when they were posted on reddit by a friend of the photographer, who wanted to preserve the Hopkin’s imagines despite the photographer’s threats to delete them.

Hopkins was recently featured on My Modern Met for his work, which was influenced by his depression throughout several series, all of which can be seen on his flickr page.
