Zheng Chunhui

Standing more than 40-feet long, almost eight-feet wide, and 10 feet tall at it’s tallest point, the massive work of art formed out of just one single log by Chinese wood carver Zheng Chunhui was recently declared the world’s longest wood sculpture by the Guinness Book of World Records.

The impressive sculpture took Zheng Chunhui four years to complete, and is modeled after the 900 year old Chinese painting Along the River During the Qingming Festival. Its insanely detailed landscape features intricate details of both the rich and poor’s life in a small town, including 550 minuscule humans going about their daily lives.
