Lily: The Self Flying Robot Camera

Solo adventurers forced to relive their escapades through the first person perspective of body equipment mounted GoPro cameras can now see things from a whole new perspective. That’s because you can now get your hands on a self-flying camera to capture those killer jumps and amazing rides for you.

Created at the robotics Lab at UC Berkeley, Lily is a radio controller-free camera that tracks your movements via a GPS sensor that you wear. The camera starts recording as soon as you throw it in the air.

Packing a 12-megapixel camera and capturing video at 120 frames-per-second at a full 1080p, Lily is also waterproof and portable. Currently accepting pre-orders, this future camera won’t be available until early next year. Ordering now, however, will get you a hefty $500 discount off the full price once Lily actually hits the market, and, also insane bragging rights.
