In Transit – A Photographic Collection That Chronicles the Hope and Despair of Migration

The journey traversed by migrants with the goal of reaching a better standard of living is often a treacherous one. Unfortunately, this quest fueled by aspirations towards attaining a better life, is also one that is just as often overlooked. The Photographic Museum of Humanity (PMH) brings this growing problem to the forefront of our collective awareness with it’s new online exhibition titled “In Transit” wherein the subjects of the collection are the very same courageous and desperate men and women who embark on this perilous journey. A great article found here details the gifted photographers involved as well as a brief explanation of what can be found in this inspiring project. Or, if you want an even better read, you can find a comprehensive introduction to the exhibition by Francisco Goldman as well as the photos currently posted and available on the PMH site here.
