Every designer needs an arsenal of resources. Below are five new resources to bookmark for free downloads, inspiration, tips, and useful tools.

Graphic Design Junction – Loaded with tutorials, industry news, inspiration posts and freebies, Graphic Design Junction is a great place to find icons, images, or inspiration for various types of design work. Updated almost daily, the site has been around since 2010, which means that in addition to new content, there is a backlog of useful templates, icons and freebies to be downloaded.

Graphic Friday – A newcomer to the scene, Graphic Friday has only been around since Mid June 2015, but is off to a promising start. With already several awesome freebies and a couple other posts for paid downloads, the site culls premium content from Creative Circle and offers free downloads in exchange for an email address.

Designtory – Jam-packed with nothing but free downloads, the site offers icons, psd templates, mockups and UI kits. What’s best, everything available on the site for download is royalty free for use in both personal and commercial projects.

Sitepoint – For designers who work on the back end of things, site point is an incredible resource. Featuring one of the largest and most complete collections of HTML, CSS and PHP tutorials, forums and guides, even non coders can gather valuable information for their web-based design on this site and its user-contributed forums.

Adobe Kuler – Color is an important part of design. Now Adobe, industry leader in software and application design, has made working with color much, much easier. Using the platform, available online for free, determining complimentary colors and creating custom palettes has never been easier. Kuler even delivers the necessary RGB and HEX codes right away, making it useful for both web and print projects.
